In the wake of Hurricane Florence, one company in particular is getting in on the action: Optimum is offering free WiFi and charging stations at its downtown Hendersonville, NC, office and mobile site, as well as a full month of credit for service, the Wall Street Journal reports.
"We continue to focus on restoration efforts for Optimum services throughout multiple Western North Carolina communities," the company's vice president says.
" Safely reconnecting our customers and supporting local employees and emergency response organizations is our number one priority," he adds.
Optimum is contributing $500,000 to local organizations and in-kind public service announcements to support relief efforts.
Initial contributions will go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and the Community Foundation of Henderson County.
